Hey there! I'm Alan Vanderbaan, an Ottawa based animator & comic artist. You might know me online as @vanderbander! I built my foundations in animation with Adobe Flash and stop-motion animation in Dragonframe. After graduating from OCAD U in 2018 with a BFA in the new Digital Painting & Expanded Animation Program, I've continued to hone my craft with a sketchbook in hand. I've produced a number of zines and comics, and recently completed Algonquin College's Animation program. I've also found inspiration through participating in workshops run by artists such as Andy Cung and Rad Sechrist. When I'm not drawing, you can find me either playing D&D, Minecraft, reading webcomics, or writing any number of story ideas.
