Alan Vanderbaan is an Ottawa based animator & comic artist. They built their foundations in animation with Adobe Flash and stop-motion animation in Dragonframe. After graduating from OCAD U in 2018 with a BFA in the new Digital Painting & Expanded Animation Program, they continued to hone their craft with a sketchbook in hand. They've produced a number of zines and comics in the meantime, and recently jumped back into the world of animation - having recently completed year 2 of 3 in Algonquin College's Animation program. They especially found inspiration through participating in workshops run by board artists such as Andy Cung and Rad Sechrist. When they're not drawing, you can find Alan either playing D&D, Minecraft, reading webcomics, or writing any number of story ideas.
